Mark's story about Jesus tells us all about what Jesus did and taught, but it doesn't clearly say who Jesus is right away. Mark wants us to see how people, even Jesus' friends, wondered if He really was the special person He claimed to be. But as you read the second part of the story, Mark gives us strong clues that Jesus truly is the Messiah, the one sent by God.
